In this episode we have some great interviews from the Sci-Fi convention Starfest. Chelsea gets to talk with actors Roger Cross (Dark Matters, Continuum, X-Files) and Gigi Edgley (Farscape, Star Trek Continues, Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge).

Troy finds out about a new book chatting with local author Carolyn Kay.

Lastly, Guy gets technically geeky with Astrophysicist and all around cool person, Dr. Erin Macdonald.

In this special bonus episode we break our normal format and bring you a couple of in-depth interviews from Starfest 2018. The first with Paul Scanlan, one of the founders of  the world’s first fan-owned entertainment company Legion M.

In the 2nd segment we talk with Dean Devlin, the director of the TV shows “Leverage” and “The Librarians”, about his latest thriller film “Bad Samaritan” starring Robert Sheehan and David Tennant.

Stephen Hawking, science’s brightest star, passed away March 14th, 2018. He was a British physicist and black-hole theorist who brought science to a mass audience with the best-selling book “A Brief History of Time”. We, at Geek Tank, are very saddened at this loss. He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man. He overcame the odds and had survived 55 years longer than the doctors gave him when he was first diagnosed with ALS. His work, courage, and legacy will live on for many years. #stephenhawking #blackholes #als #ripstephenhawking #physics #geekpodcast #rockymountaingeektank #space #science #sciencebets #abriefhistoryoftime
